At YYC Zone Driving Academy INC. our mission is to provide Class 5 training (in-vehicle), the highest quality of driving education in a safe, professional, and supportive environment. To ensure the safety and success of all our students, we have established important policies that must be always followed.
Fees and Payment
- ● The total cost of driving instruction varies based on the package selected by the student. Payments may be made by cash, credit card, or e-transfer.
- ● Full payment is required at the time of registration.
Refund Policy
- ● This refund policy applies to all services offered by YYC Zone Driving Academy INC.
- ● A full refund, less a 5% transaction fee (for credit card payments), will be provided if the student cancels their enrollment at least 72 hours before any services are scheduled to begin.
- ● All approved refunds will be issued to the original method of payment within 48 hours of the cancellation request.
No-Refund
- ● No refunds will be issued once online classroom instruction has started.
- ● Lessons cancelled by the student with less than 24 hour’s notice are non-refundable.
- ● Missed lessons due to late arrival or failure to attend are not eligible for a refund.
- ● Lessons ended by the instructor due to unsafe conduct, disruptive behavior, or impairment will not be refunded.
Partial Refunds
- ● If a student withdraws after starting instruction but before completing all scheduled lessons, a partial refund may be considered.
- ● Completed in-car lessons will be charged at the standard rate of $75 per hour, regardless of the package purchased. Any remaining balance after these charges will be refunded, if applicable.
Scheduling, Cancellations & Student Responsibilities:
- ● Instructors/Academy reserve the right to cancel or reschedule in-vehicle lessons due to unforeseen circumstances, including illness, emergencies, unsafe weather conditions, vehicle issues, or delays caused by road tests or if an accident occurs during the session. We prioritize the safety and learning experience of every student.
- ● Possess valid learner’s permit or driver’s license for all in-car sessions and comply with all directions provided by the driving instructor.
- ● Training will be refused without refund for any student found: Under the influence of drugs or alcohol, Possessing weapons engaging in violent or unsafe behavior.
- ● Notify the school at least 24 hours in advance if a lesson needs to be canceled or rescheduled, failure to do so may result in loss of the lesson fee.
- ● Pickup and drop-off locations will be confirmed when the lesson is scheduled, and students are expected to behave respectfully and work cooperatively with instructors and staff.
- ● Students are expected to follow instructions and demonstrate progress. If performance remains unsatisfactory due to lack of effort or failure to practice, students will be held accountable. Being pulled over by law enforcement will also be considered the student's responsibility.
In-Car Lesson Format:
- ● Each 2-hour in-car lesson includes: Two 55-minute driving sessions
- ● A 10-minute break between sessions, typically at a public location (e.g., gas station or convenience store)
Road test appointments:
- ● Students are responsible to prepay for the “ROAD TEST PERMIT” at the designated Registries office prior to your road test appointments.
Student Records
Your profile/lessons record will only be kept for TWO YEARS from today’s date.
